ABOUT WENDY

It's always important to know a little about the person who'll be responsible for your dearest friend in your absence, so below are a few things about me and my background.

I'm a 40 year ex-police officer who began professional dog walking throughout Oxfordshire/Buckinghamshire areas in 2018. I have recently relocated to South Derbyshire and carried my passion for canine care with me. Having recently passed my psychology degree I have also embarked on a masters in animal behaviour and seek to apply my knowledge and experience to ensure our walks are fun and safe!

Dog Lover

I've lived with dogs my entire life, growing up with Weimeraners from age 2. I have also owned Beagles, Dalmatians and Viszlas.

I currently have two whippets, Sweeney and Lola (pictured). To me, dogs aren't pets, they are our family and friends. They have heart, soul and individual personality and the world is better for their existence!

Canine First Aid Trained

During my time in the police service, I gained a qualification in advanced human first aid. But I have also completed an accredited diploma in canine first aid. I always carry a first aid kit in the vehicle and a first aid bum bag on my person when walking dogs.

Experience

I have vast experience in professional dog walking and have lived with dogs throughout my life. I have also worked for an international dog relocation company which entailed transporting rescued dogs across multiple countries and maintaining their welfare and comfort on route. Additionally, I have a full and recent DBS check that can be provided.
